Snapper I 422 Snowblower---Need new motor

--- I have a Snapper I 422 snowblower. It has a Tecumseh 4hp motor on it. The motor is really just about shot. I would like to put a different motor on it. Can anybody tell me what other brands of motors would work on it? And could I put maybe a 5hp+ motor on it to ramp up the power just a tad?
--- I know this is an old snowblower but I really like it because it's not too large that you can't horse it around, and not too small that it won't do a lot of work fast.
--- I snowblow a lot of sidewalk next to the road, and the snowplows throw a lot back on it so it has to be able to take some punishment.

--- Is there an online site that I can type in the engine serial number and it will give me replacement options?

Click on a manufacturer then look at the specs. I'd look hard at the Hondas to see if the clone HF 6.5HP engine would fit. You can get these on sale for less than $100.
