Snapper Comet 306RD yoke question

Fixing a Snapper Comet 306RD, SN 192966, 30", 8HP. Since this is an old machine, I'm not finding many examples online of its specific yoke assembly. As the pics show, brackets (that hold the yoke's shaft) are gone. Am I using the correct terms to describe these brackets?


Also, I have been unable to find any online parts dealers that want to talk about this model. Any suggestions for a dealer that likes the old ones?

I gave up on finding parts. I made a yoke positioning bracket out of forged eyebolts, and after alot of trial and error, got the location of the yoke right. Works ok now. Thanks for your response. So, there were no dealers, local or online, that I could find that had parts from the early 60s. You have them in Texas? I am impressed................
