Click here and scroll to the bottom for pics of an 8 foot 200 pound rail attached to the bottom of a 370 pound box scraper. I really works!

VERY impressive

I'm jealous , Wish I had a need for that, as well as the need for the great tractor set up... :D

Really nice set up. The removable blade on the box blade is an excellent idea. Thanks for the pictures.

nice top n tilt set up. If you use the tile on a backblade, does it give you enough tilt to do ditching?? ie lets say on a 7 ft blade, how much travel from level can you get at the end of the blade??

Gerard, my LP 2572 RB is two weeks out in the shipping lanes so I'll give you the skinny on the 54" Kubota box blade: 4" down from horizontal at either end which doesn't sound like much until you put the cutting side wheels (54" O/A width on the B3030) into the deepening ditch as well. My tilt cylinder has a 4" range which is only 2" off horizontal @ 10.5" from the centerline on my side link so I would expect almost a 4:1 ratio on an 84" blade which could give you as much as 8" below horizontal. Ironically since you can't drive in the ditch with a tractor narrower than your blade we are about even on our ditching!

I don't think I can get more than 10 inches of tilt on my blade so your set up would give me the same range I have with a manually tilting blade without having to get out of my seat!!. Definitely the cadillac way to go! My next tractor will most definitely have remotes off the back, just haven't figured out if i really NEED more than three........

I've been thinking of doing the same thing, just hadn't gotten round to it. But I have to ask, when you use it are you in float or do you find it works best when not in float? Thanks,
