Hello folks! A friend of mine has a 1988 Ford 1920 with 1100 hours on it. It runs as good as the day he bought it, except that it smokes a good deal more then it ever did. He has not noticed any change in fuel consumption, it doesn't use any oil, it doesn't use any anitifreeze, always starts great, and hasn't lost any power. It just smokes. The smoke simply smells like a diesel, there is no hint that anything else is wrong. Does anyone have any similar experiences? Is there something he ought to be watching out for? Is there some preventitive measures he should be taking to save a major problem later on? I'll pass on whatever anyone has to share. Thanks in advance

If I had to guess, I'd say injectors are dirty/worn.

Or the injector pump may need retuning/recalibration. - usually a $100 or more dollar process.
