Told you So. You can never be to careful. Someone that just became a Ebay seller just a few days ago, has no feed back, no other items listed, and selling something at an unbelievable low price should throw all kinds of warning bells. Of course a lot of sellers got started with their first sell, and many are just trying to git rid of something they dont need and make a little cash. Also many out there trying to scam everyone they can. Never, ever, pay for anything using a debit card, and its best to use a credit card and go thru paypal so you at least have a chance of getting your money back. Delays between placing and paying for a item and hearing from the seller can be a ploy for the seller to get your money from paypal and then skip with the money, before Paypal or your credit card company can take your money back. If they are a crook, they dont care if Ebay or Paypal blocks them. They just create a new profile and account using fictional address, and names and start all over again. Not saying the seller was a scammer, but he certainly could have been.

So... turns out the $400 10k genset was a FRAUD seller. Called eBay, got my refund on the spot. Figures. But, hey, it was worth the try right? eBay has never let me down. To make matters even more stupid, I saw the SAME GENSET for $83 new. Really? C'mon!!! Of course I reported it. The # of sales is a great indicator. 0 means you are taking a big chance of tying up some money for a bit.

....maybe.... BUT just MAYBE the poor guy (quite possibly retired and most likely good looking) needs to supplement his OAP to fuel his tool **** addiction.

I have been watching the deals every since Sodo first posted abut buying one. I have seen the $649 deal a couple of times since. with other more pressing things, I have not pulled the trigger to buy one. I do look at the sellers rep, how many items he has listed, and how long he has been selling to get some ideal, no guarantee, but better than just hopeing the seller is honest.

Only one seller does the $649 deal and they have sold thousands of them. Their feedback rating is 99% The duel fuel 10,000w was on sale Monday for $649 but it's back up to $999 now.
