Small tractor for tilling and aerating

The 4010 and 4110 tractors are close, but I think slightly over 4 feet wide. I think the 2210 might be a little narrower, someone else will have to give you that data.
As to where to look: well, it would help if you filled out your profile since Virgina is a pretty big place. Still, I'd call around to the nearest dealers and ask them if they've got any used 2210s (if you're sticking to JD) or one of the larger garden tractors with a 3pt.
If you find something and are considering it, post a few photos and tell us what the asking price is and you'll get a few opinions as to the how good a deal it is.

My 4010 is 46" at its widest point (across the rear tires). The FEL bucket is 53", but it is easily removeable. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Do you need rear PTO also? In Deere's HD Garden tractor class, 3PT and rear PTO were options and could be purchased independently of one another. Thus you could have a tractor (like in my case) with a 3PT and no rear PTO. The sub-compacts and above have 3PT and rear PTO as standard equipment.

John is with Piedmont Equipment in Charlottesville, Va. Think he'll be happy to track a 2210, 4010, 4110, x595, etc. for you. All these are right at 4' wide. My 4010 with turf tires is almost exactly 48" wide. The others I mentioned are essentially the same width (and weight, about 1400-1500 #).
My 4010 pulls a "soil ripper" that a friend gave me who had it for his old JD M, an older 18 hp JD but much bigger and heavier. Attached is a pic. I, with my friend's help in the machine shop where he works, converted it to 3 ph.

Here is a JD 750 in Durham, NC (4 hours) from you. It will fit in a long bed 3/4 ton pickup bed, backed in with the tailgate down. Its a pretty narrow rig. Click the links for pics. The good lookin' fella on the tractor would be me /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
