Interesting. Seems like the equipment could handle much bigger wood than what you were working with. That's nice to have the flexibility.

The excavator for sure! Most of the hardwood is pretty evenly matched with the tractor though, by the time I have 6 or 7 on the winch. I have some large spruce and hemlock I'm leaving standing till spring when I have a friend who is going to mill if for me, (for a timberframe shed project). Can't wait to make video of those coming down and turning into a building.

Awesome Video! Thanks for sharing! How do you like that Norse winch? I just bought a tractor and am debating on getting the 350, That hinged buttplate looks handy, thanks for the tips on chokers!

I absolutely LOVE the Norse winch. It's bulletproof and more than enough strength to pull anything I want. But to be honest, I haven't taken the pins out to allow the butt plate to hinge. Just haven't needed too. Maybe if I was in rougher terrain or wasn't removing the stumps along my woods roads it would be more useful.
