I have a Wallenstein BX42s PTO chipper, NO hydraulic feed. Chipper runs off the PTO on my Kubota B3300SU / 33-hp / 25hp PTO; a good match. If you believe in the KISS principle and you need a 4" PTO chipper, this is your machine.
Fine implement. Bought it via eBay in February 2011 from Iowa Farm Supply for $2599 plus freight.
This is a very fine WOOD CHIPPER. It is NOT a garden/field waste SHREDDER. It spews wood chips great. If you feed it too many twigs and leaves the exhaust shute will clog sooner or later; mostly sooner.
Wallenstein makes chipper/shredders too, in their BXM series. I have no experience with the BXM's but Wallenstein the brand enjoys a very high reputation for functionality.
