Update on my cracked/leaking fuel lines. Wife accidently filled the diesel can with gasoline, so I'm sure that had some type of contribution to the leaks (ya think!). The tractor quit running about 2 minutes after putting gasoline in the tank. After several attempts to get the tractor to run, and checking the diesel can, I asked my wife if she was sure she put diesel in the diesel can, because it didn't smell/feel like diesel after investigation. Then we figured she made a mistake.
I drained all the gas out of everything and changed most my old lines with new ones, but I didn't check to see if they were also diesel rated. I simply went to Autozone and got the fuel lines. If diesel starts giving them a problem, they are easy to get to and I'll change them. After all the maintenance and changing filters, the Tractor runs better than ever without any apparent issues after all the gas was drained and replaced with fresh diesel in.
I've read where this happen frequeuntly without any damage, but the potential issues by accidently running gasoline in a diesel is primarily the lack of lubrication that gas has vrs diesel (besides pre-denotation stress if run too long, which I didn't). Some posts have discussed the possibility of ruining your injection pump. I did put Powerservice's Diesel Cean in the can (gas) before I put it in the tractor, which I noticed gave the gas an oily feel when I drained it. This may have helped prevent any damage since the gas itself appeared "well lubricated".
I had to order a new fuel bowl and O-ring because mine wouldn't stop leaking, so after about a week of being down, I'm back in the seat. By the way, do you notice nothing breaks-down in a convenient location. Always in the hot sun, on a hill side, etc.
