I am looking for a slip scoop (aka Johnny Bucket) to fit onto my XUV Gator for some light duty hauling, etc. Does anyone know if one of these is made yet?

Tommy,

Yes, this is what I am looking for. The Bobcat has a nice one, as does JD for the X series tractors. But there are not any premanufactured ones, that I can tell, for the JD Gator. I am still looking. These things are really handy, especially if you do not want to get out the tractor, or have an area too tight or soft to safely access by tractor.

I have a John Deere Gator HPX 4x4 which has to be one of the most handy pieces of equipment ever. It has a 72 inch front blade which is great for snow and also light grading. I'm looking for an attachment to add to the blade to make it a scoop for loader work in tight spaces. Deere makes such an attachment to add to front blades on their garden tractors but not for the Gator. Any ideas?

JCMSEVEN do you have a winch? I think you could weld a bucket bracket on the Deere plow subframe and use the winch to lift/lower. The plow subframe has 3 bolts that attach either the pivot bracket for 72" straight or V-plow assemblies, you could use these bolts to attach a bracket for the bucket. I have a lot of rock and have bent the pivot bracket, the hinge frame, but never any problem with the sub-frame, so the subframe is pretty strong. The subframe attaches with just 2 pins that go through existing holes in the XUV's frame. I do not believe the hydraulic plow lifter would be of any use, too weak to lift even a small loaded bucket.

I agree, we have the old 620i XUV (same as HPX except rear suspension) and we find it incredibly useful.

BTW- the Deere part number for the implement lift frame is BM24344. This is a kit that includes the frame and mounting pins.
