I thought that I would post a few pictures of what I have been working on. This Link will take you to My Photo Gallery in the photo section. I made a sliding canopy a while back, to shade me when I am using the backhoe. There are also two pictures of the start of my overhead console. I will add more as things progress.

Jerry that's a nice looking project. Did you come up with the idea or have you seen the design used somewhere else?

Jerry do you need a pilots license to operate that overhead console? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm impressed. Thanks for the pictures.

No, not yet. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The reason that I put that many switches is because I didn't want to ever have to go back and add any more. This should be enough. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thanks I have had it done for quite a while. Just hadn't posted the pictures.

It has 8 toggle switches, a Jensen marine AM/FM cassette player with Jensen marine speakers, a horn and a horn button (on the underside), a tiltmeter, and a 12v weatherproof outlet.
Right now the toggles are wired for overhead driving lights, overhead rear implement lights, a pair of small side lights, a flashing safety light, a dome light, aux.. lighting (tiltmeter lights etc), master switch for radio and two 12v plugs. I don’t have all of the items installed yet. I have the front lights, the rear lights, the aux. lights, the radio, the horn and one 12v plug. installed. I need to get the rest before winter.

Very nice, Jerry! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif It's obvious that you put a lot of thought and creativity into your design. How close does the boom on your BH come to it? How much electrical cable flex is required?

Thanks Jim.

It is almost as far over my head when it is over the backhoe as it is when it is over the tractor seat. I need to post a picture of the canopy slide back.
How much electrical cable flex is required?
None. All the overhead radio electrical etc are stationary on the front. Another picture needed for that.

When I have the backhoe on the next time I will post some more in the gallery. For now, I have attached a picture without the backhoe on, but with the canopy slid back.
