Neighbors tractor/loader has a slice in one of his rear ag tires. it is not too deep, can't see any of the cords, but does go through one of the cross lugs.
It is not leaking and the tires are not loaded. Is there anything i can use to seal the slice to keep sharp rocks/dirt out. I probably looks worse than it is but just want to be safe. I've heard of vuncanizing compounds but not sure were i can get them. Can't afford to take off or have a tire repairman come in at this time.. tire is on a 2003 Kubota L4610.

Thanks for any advice!

I have even used a product called "Shoe-Goo" sold at running stores to fill in divots in my tires and it is very durable (and cheap)

Gemplers has a product to do the vulcanizing, but they don't ship it to PA or any nearby states and I don't believe that there products are sold in stores.

if it is the cold vulcanizing cement they show....any good auto parts store will have that. Note: the key is "GOOD" auto parts store....where the people behind the counter know the difference between a spark plug and a dipstick.

My local Auto Value has it on the shelf
