Anyone have experience with this?

You might consider a Bi-Pap machine like I have. It breathes with you instead of just having positive pressure all the time. Had the same issue until I got a Bi-Pap.

One thing i notice in this thread is sleep apnea in many cases is mainly a side effect of other health concerns.

I didn't know ResMed had dishwasher safe water tanks. About 17 years ago I stopped using a humidifier because of travel and water mess. My sister swears my her humidifier use.

I use the old style Fisher Paktel stand alone humidifier with the stainless steel removable base and 'o' ring. I take it apart, wash it out and reassemble it. and I use distilled water. Mine has a heated base that I can set how I want. My hoses and mask take a shower with me and I wash them with unscented anti-bacterial soap. Like I said, I have enough supplies to outlast me, masks, hoses, machine filters and everything else I need.

I would never consider putting my humidifier tank in a dishwasher, ever.

Thanks for your suggestions. Makes me wonder why none of the medical professionals I've consulted have mentioned the different machines. I'm going to try to find out if I can get a free trial from the company that supplied my Cpap.
