try moth balls. they tend to keep many mammals and rodents out of areas where they are not wanted. good for keeping them from nesting in winter storage buildings and also out of gardens.

I spoke to my trapper friend and he said "trap it". Alternatives were moth crystals, not balls. He said they will just roll the balls out of the way. He did emphasize the necessity of moving her prior to the litter dropping.

SAFE release is the hard part.......... I personally test skunks to see if they can survive in a new environment. If they can't hold there breath for 20-30 minutes while in the trap in the river, they are not a good candidate for re-introduction into the wild..........

X2. This has worked for us.

NOTE: I have live trapped skunks a few times, I think 3 by memory. Never used a blanket, just carry the cage to the woods and open it and ole' br'er skunk wanders away.
