they certianly look good

but i cant believe that slick flat metal plates have much traction to them.

Nice build well done.
How did you build your tracks?
How do you tighten them?

i wondered how much traction i would have to . turns out aluminum is super sticky so you have to be carefull turning on a lawn there is not much slip at all ive had the hoe in mud half way up the tracks and a slight push or pull with the boom usually gets you moving again.i was stuck once with it so far but i had one track 5 inches from the top in mud and the other halfway down i could still move but a 125hp tractor was handy . in the slickest mud ive had the tires do about 1 to 2 turns inside the tracks the mud pushes out through the openongs between the tracks and away you go . i have a tightner designed to lift the track up inbetween the tires so far havent needed anything. i made the drawings for the track parts then got them plas cut at a local shop and welded them at my welding shop used a spool gun and 35 thou aluminum wire
.if i have trouble moving around on frozen ground ill make a dozen or so bolt on grousers . the side plates are 1/4 in steel with carrage bolts thanks bob
