Morning - Wanting to put a skid steer type quick attach on my Kubota B3200/LA504 loader. For the loader arms am looking at an ATI corporation (appears to be the same as Erskine attachments); Model Number is QA-KU17 and Order Code is 100-196-000. Anyone have experience with this product? Good, not so good? Any advice? Also, as i read their material it appears the quick attach device goes on with the same pins that now hold the bucket; is that accurate?

I will also need the plate that welds to the bucket. Anyone have best suggestions there? Or is there another conversion setup that others have found strong and relatively light weight for the LA504?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I've got the Kubota pin-on QA and have zero complaints. Unless you are 100% set on the SSQA, I think it's a viable option. Most SS attachments are way too heavy for these loaders anyway.

If I may ask, what is the difference in a skid steer QA and the Kubota QA? I thought QA was standardized. Just wondering and thanks in advance.

SSQA is standardized but Quick Attach can be accomplished many different ways: Skid Steer, Pin-on, JD, Euro, I'm sure there are other commercial ones, and many different homemade styles

This is the Kubota pin-on one (thanks to Burtonbr in another thread)

2 big advantages of it: It's far cheaper than the SSQA style and doesn't require modifying the bucket to do it. This style can easily be built to fit any loader, not just Kubota specific. When I bought my tractor in 2012, the SSQA was only available from the aftermarket, not Kubota directly for these smaller loaders.

Thanks. I was assuming QA was referring to the skid steer version only, not a generic term.

Thanks for some good info. I see that adding weight to the small LA504 with the SSQA is an issue. I do also have a Kioti NX6010 with SSQA and would really like to be able to swap some attachments. Will need to ponder that. Are there an array of attachments that fit the Kubota QA? Also still wondering if anyone has any experience/recommendations regarding the ATI/Erskine products in case I decide to pursue the SSQA further for the Kubota B3200 and LA504?

Thanks.

As you have the SSQA on the NX, that would be a good argument for SSQA on the B3200, especially when you just want to move an implement in the yard or a seldom used implement. Pallet forks on the other hand, if it were me, I'd want a set for each; light weight for the B3200 and HD for the NX. As for the array of attachments for the pin-on QA, there's some but no where near the list for SSQA. I build all my own attachments so the QA style makes no difference to me.

I have no experience with the ATI/Erskine but would also reccommend checking out HLA. I have experience with their stuff and it's top quality

I looked up the HLA site; appears to be good stuff. Any idea of price on the QA for the loader arms? Called ATI to get more info. They only sell through dealers. QA is $800 plus retail, so by the time I modify the bucket with QA bracket i would likely have around $1200 (or more) in the project. ATI stuff looks good and they have a bracket for the bucket that is fairly light weight, but I think heavy enough for my work with the LA504.

CDN Farm Boy, you mentioned liking the Kubota QA, and I've finally seen a picture of one thanks to Ken Mac's post. I can't seem to find any info on this QA on the Kubota web site; seems like a well kept secret. Anyone know how to find out more info? I'm most interested in price, weight and how it attaches? Do the original pins stay in the bucket with a new set of pins holding the QA to the loader arms or the other way around?

The difference in the size of my tractors likely means i would need different attachments for the B3200/LA504 anyway (pallet forks about all I'm thinking of right now), so the Kubota QA might be a much more viable option.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Check out Titan 42" forks- 320 lbs. and rated at 4000 lbs. capacity with SSQA. They would work with either of your tractors and the variety of SSQA attachments is greater than other QA methods.

Here is a link to full discussion on is topic. In particular read post#31 by member Jim Wilson. The Kubota SSQA was not available when I purchased my B3300 so I have the Kubota proprietary pin on QA. Works well for my forks changeover. The Kubota SSQA will fit the LA504 loaders and several other models. I would prefer the new Kubota SSQA over the pin on.

btw, check out these forks. IMO perfect size for size tractors being discussed. I had my dealer order them, but I believe construction attachments also sells them online. There is also another brand very similar in price point and design. Also, this is the older sliding rail design, which I have, they do not 吐all forward when you tilt frame forward...which is a good thing. However, the new design has the notched positive stops. Anyway, good luck in your search.

Kubota part # B1658 enter this in Google images and you'll get the idea quickly how it works

Original 4 pins stay in the loader arms & cyl to mount the QA. 2 new pins stay mounted in the top holes in each attachment and then 2 new removable lower pins to mount attachment to the new QA adapter. Just guessing on the weight here but it can't be more than 20 or 30 lbs for the adapter

That style quick attach is what my dad built on his Belarus with the eeze on loader. The only difference was there was no cross tube. If you can weld they are easy to build yourself, and a very cheap alternative. However as already mentioned you don't have the flexibility of attachments you get with the SSQA.

Thanks for the great help; now I'm getting some clarification. Finally got Kubota QA Part B1658 pulled upon the Kubota Parts page. I think they could use some web redesign; it shouldn't be that hard. I've tried their search system many times for quick attach and never came up with anything until you gave me the part number. And right beside it was Part B1659, the pallet fork option. I see the pallet fork frame (and all kinds of danger labels to paste on; they must be concerned about this piece of equipment) but don't see the forks themselves and didn't see them in the parts list; did I miss something?

Anyone know what the Kubota pallet fork with, let's say, 42" forks, might weigh? I see the Construction Attachments forks that Tompet flagged weigh 220 pounds. Would be nice to compare.

I couldn't be quite clear on the CA web site; do their compact X-treme forks for compact loaders come with the option of the SSQA or the Kubota QA? And does anyone have a weight for the standard LA504 bucket; mine measures 58" ID so assume it would be considered the 60" bucket? If the bucket and pallet fork are not too much different in weight, and the Kubota QA is only in the 30 lb. range as CDN Farm Boy noted above, there would not be much loss of lift capacity if I stay with the Kubota system, plus wouldn't have to modify my original bucket, correct?

Forks shouldn't be more than 60-70# each, not sure on the size they use, but I have a pair of class 2 forks (like new, for sale, probably rated for enough weight to pickup the whole tractor) that are 42" long and they are around 80-90# each.

I found one post that said shipping weight of 341# which includes the pallet but I also found several listings that says the 1659 frame is discontinued. My forks weigh 80# (yes, 80) for the whole thing. Moving them by hand or the standard 60" bucket, I'd guess the bucket to be double that, 200 # at most.

You are correct about not having to modify your original bucket, that is one huge advantage of the Kubota QA

I have the Kubota B1658 on my B3300 with LA504. I ordered it that way when I purchased the tractor. I switch between the stock bucket, my self made grapple and some Construction Attachments forks I bought from everyhtingattachments.com. They are the 42" forks that normally are SSQA equipped, but if you tell them you want the pin-on style they will happily make them that way. Forks weigh 220lbs according to the web site.

I wanted this style due to the reduced weight of the attachment system. I am planning on devising an actuator system (electric?) for the pins so I can switch attachments from the tractor seat.
