Has anyone tried the three point adapter made for skid steers? Three point hitch attachments are a lot more plentiful around here and a lot less costly. how would a box blade work, or would it? Thanks in advance...

I built one and use it quite a bit.
The boxblade works great for backfilling houses.
It works like a small bulldozer.
Also leave the rippers all the way down and use the rollback to rip then roll forward and push or pull the loosened dirt.
I've got a 10.5' boxblade I built to level driveways and it works great, follow behind the dumptruck and level the stone perfect.
I need to build a set of wheels on my 8' rake to run it in forward to finish yards.
I don't have any pics but I took a 3/8" thick plate and put on the angles to mount to SSL, on face side I welded on 1" thick blocks w/ holes to mount a Speeco 3PT Q-T (I can take it off to use on tractor too)and put a 2" square tube on it for moving trailers.
This makes hooking up real easy.
Also have a TSC 3 PT carrier and can use it on either machine, plus can dump it w/ the SSL.

Thank you for responding. I used to have a Kubota 2710, which probably makes more sense for me, was a nice machine. However, I like to see my work in front of me. The power of the SSL is also much more obvious. I also have to stay out of the mudy areas or /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Only time I worry about mud is if I have the forks on, w/ a bucket I just go on in.
I've been in some pretty bad places w/ it and come back out.
I'm to lazy or busy to put the tracks on.
The true 4 wd is great.

I don’t have a 3pt adaptor. I need to have an application for it and haven’t yet found one.

Hoeman00. I built an 8’ leveler to level my barns. I’ll try and get some pics this week posted. It works really well. With the wheels behind the blade it does a great job of knocking off the high spots and filling in the low spots. It is perfect for leveling gravel. I drag my road ways with it all the time.

I keep my tracks on from late fall to early summer. I am amazed at what that little tractor can do. Put the tracks on and it becomes a go anywhere tank.

I have been wondering the same thing. On top of it, I was wondering what luck anyone has had with these 3 pt adapters with PTO drive

I could then use 3-pt augers, mowers, etc. on top of the non-PTO powered attachments without having to buy the expensive Bobcat products.

No, I haven't seen any of these -- which is why I would like to hear reviews from someone other than the person marketing them.

Here is another site that sells PTO drive 3-pt hitch adapters

Those two sites look a lot like the same company. Just read the text, its almost the same, word for word. Great idea though.

The one site is from New York, and the other I believe is from Washington State.
