Loader Skid Steer quick attach for MAX 28 Loader

Anyone know if there is a kit available from Mahindra to convert the loader on the MAX 28 to skid steer quick attach?

I was told that Mahindra would not make one due to the lifting capacity of the loader. I also wrote one of the vendors on here and they basically said the same thing. There is a string on here where a guy built one. It was sharp, I wanting to say he was in the Netherlands or somewhere like that. Lets us know if you find one, I know we all want one.

I had read in another thread that ATI was making a pin on SSQA for the ML205 loader used on the max28. Maybe contact them.

Why would the lifting capacity of the loader be an issue for a ssq? It might make the lifting capacity less if it adds much weight or extends too far out.

You are talking about extra steel and moving parts pinned on in place of the bucket and the bucket or whatever mounts beyond that, it does make lifting capacity less due to the weight of those items, as well as the fact it moves the bucket an inch or two farther out from the pins creating additional leverage that works against your lift capacity... You can lose up to about 250# off the rated spec going from pins to SSQA.

Personally, I'd keep the pin on bucket around for large heavy jobs and get the SSQA with attachments for everyday stuff. The breakout force is like 2600# and the lift is like 1400#. For everyday stuff you can lose a couple hundred pounds and it's still a lot better than a wheelbarrow; and when ya need to work with heavy stuff ya drive the pins out of the SSQA adapter and into the original bucket. If using lighter weight items on the SSQA like a lightweight set of pallet forks, your capacity will go back up due to the fact the implement is lighter.

It is really about finding the balance of what will work best for you.

have you checked with a dealer?

Sysop is correct about the extra weight. I have one on my 3016 and there's a whole lot of weight for the parts mounted on the loader required to attach to the bucket/implement.

I bought a quick attach that came off a burned Mahindra. I thought it was factory, if it was not it did not take too much welding etc. to make it work for my Mahindra 4510 with the Mahindra loader.

My dealer suggested the Mahindra pin on forks that can also mount on the three point hitch. I already have a skid steer set of forks so I thought I could still use them.

I think the ATI is around +$700. Titan makes a universal SSQA at half the price if you have welding and Fab Skills, you could make & weld the pin on brackets in an afternoon.
As I have a larger tractor with SSQA, I have no need for such on my Max.
