There's an 18 year old thread with no resolution. Is there a skid plate for a JD3720?

Skid plates are protective metal or plastic shields mounted on vehicles, particularly off-road ones, to safeguard critical parts like the engine and transmission from damage caused by rocks, debris, or rough terrain. My LS dealer made a skid plate for my LS XR4155 , it helps but it ain’t nothing to brag about. Basically just a flat piece of steel bolted to the loader frame.
He has had to do some pretty expensive repairs because of customers driving over stuff they shouldn’t be driving over.

That's a nice setup Ray!
The price really doesn't surprise me and for someone who's regularly doing serious mowing/clearing type of woods work, it's probably an easy decision. Now for the occasional guy, that would be a bigger decision.
There are a lot of stories here (over the years) of guys puncturing something that keep the "essential liquids" inside the tractor. Some are fortunate enough to "catch" it before the transmission or engine oil bleed out escalating the situation by thousands of dollars or worse.
