I don't have any experience with kioti, but see posts 8-11 in this thread, I built a skid plate for a JD 4066.

I would use puck board instead of steel,much easier to handle,will be qieter and a lot lighter to install and remove.this stuff is tough,made bottom plates for 4 wheelers for years with it,never seen it break yet,hot or cold.

What is this puck board and where could I get some?? Any pictures by chance?

We call it puck board,not sure of the realmname anywhere that sells plastics would have it,I believe it got its name from hockey rinks,i think they line the inside of the boards with it. Although I may be wrong.what i do know is the stuffs tougher than nails

Not a tank, but I also am sick of getting roots and sticks wedged up where they shouldn't be. These skid plates look like a great idea!

I don't drive my tractor in parades or just mow lawns with it or buy it to just look at in the barn. It gets used....and with that, I'd like to protect it as much as I can to keep using it.
