kubota mx5100hst
My mx5100 is predominately a woods tractor and it's in desperate need of some underbelly protection. So far I've made it 32hrs with no damage and would like to keep it that way! I'm interested to see if anyone has made a skid plate for an mx or l- series kubota or really any large frame CUT. I have a design in my head but I'm curious what others have come up with. Much thanks in advance!

dbaer78,

Depending on your skill and what you have as far as a welder etc, you should be able to either weld, or use angles and bolt to make a nice underbelly plate. I bought a rear one for my BX and fabricated the front. If I did not need one right away, I would have fabricated the rear one also.
Make it easy to come off! I used nutplates that clip on so I only need to worry abot the bolt and the clip nut stays put. Keep it clear of things that move!
Best thing is, it will be out of sight for the most part so it does not have to be great looking! ;)
