I mistakenly posted this in another (wrong) sub-forum)...sorry...

In another thread, that I cannot find now, someone mentioned they found out how much it cost to operate their tractor per hour.

I have a NH T1510 and looked over the NH site (maybe not close enough) but I could not find anything there on it.

Would anyone have a site or place I could find that info?

I plan on doing garden tilling and bush hogging with my baby and do not want to do it for free.

Thank you in advance

:)

there have been a lot of different posts regarding "what to charge for xxx?" work..

It varies by area, but if i remember correctly the range typically is $40 to $50/hr

the items you have to consider are (and I know im missing something) : fuel, regular maintenance (oil changes/air filters/transmission fluid changes), your time, insurance, hauling the tractor, and breakdowns (seems to be some ppl take their other costs and that total as for this category)

good luck

Thanks

I do know about the "charges" and items like you stated, but there was a post that said his tractor (ALONE) cost X amount per hour to operate.

I was hoping for a better idea of what it costs as it runs.

I am sure that would vary and depend on what was being done (ie; tilling; bush hogging, etc) but if there was a starting point someone may have figured already.

Thanks again

Thanks Don

I shoulda remembered to google it

oh well....I think there are many variables I will have to sort out and then like any other plan, come up with an hourly rate.

thanks again

it costs $30/hour plus or minus to run a tractor (up to about 125/150 or so, where it slowly goes up) including tires, fuel, maint, depreciation, etc

But, if you want to get paid for doing this. that's a whole lot more expensive.

well, now you have..(included but not limited to)
liability insurance
EIN/commercial bank/DBA expenses/accountants/etc

if you transport your tractor
now you need
USDOT #'s (over 10,000gvw combined) with all that nice stuff including inspections
commercial insurance on your truck and trailer.
commercial plates (if your state does it that way)
