The web site for both Snapper and Simplicity say on their specs for the LT200 and Regent lawn tractors that the front axle has "pivoting cast iron with relaceable wear block". I know Simplicity owns Snapper (both owned by Briggs and Stratton) so no surprise on the terminology. But what is a "replaceable wear block" ?? Not being a mechanical whiz, I don't know whether this is good to have or bad. I've never seen other tractors with this feature, whether on very cheap box store lines, or on very expensive dealer only machines. Can anyone tell me about these and how often they need replacing, difficulty in changing etc.? Thanks

You took words right out of my mouth. I am looking into a lawn tractor now and have been leaning towards a Simplicity Regent. These "replaceable wear blocks" are only on the Regent series. Got me wondering too

I had a 38" Snapper RER hydro that had a cast iron ft. axle and I would think they are talking about the pivot bushing that the axle pivot on.

They may not be putting grease fittings on them anymore and need to sell more parts.
