Simplicity 5216 Question

Hi. Anyone have any experience with the above machine? This is an old beater, 16HP B&S 2 cyl, 5 speed. I don't know the year, so if anyone knows the years this model was made that would be helpful. That or point me in the right direction to find out. I want to use this to tow my wood splitter, and drop fert on the lawn. Its running and supposedly in good shape, Comes with plow and deck. I guess for $200 I can't expect much. I prefer to put work into something thats worth fixing. Thanks for any input.

It believe it is a 5116. $200 should be a pretty decent deal if the tractor is running. I just a 6216, not running (needed starter, solenoid) for $150. From what I here, those tractors were pretty tough. Check out this link.

I think these were made from 1983 through 1985 or so. With a deck and plow, I would pick it up in a heart beat.
