I have a Deutz-Allis 1616H Lawn Tractor, Simplicity Mfg No 169819, with a serial number of 11727. I am trying to determine a manufacture date. The B & S Vanguard engine was mfg 4-15-91 so it would be some time after that date.

Manual shows it should have a Eaton 750 hydrostatic transaxle. It has started slipping very bad. Does anybody have any experience working on them? Repair parts, how to pull the unit out of the tractor, what to look for and etc.

Simplicity didn't track production dates by serial number, so dating the engine is as close as you can get.

I have no experience with that tranny, so no help there...
