Posthole Digger Simplest Post Hole Digger stand / storage

/ Simplest Post Hole Digger stand / storage #11
I work alone and need an assistant. The assistant was a 6" auger, no longer suitable for the job that I augered into the ground till the top was about 18" above ground level. I remove the auger from my digger and drop it down into the one in the ground. Really helps to hold it while unloading and reloading.

Otherwise, some sort of chain hoist. I have seen an old child's swing A frames + horizontal top pipe (minus the swings) used with a come-a-long chained around the gearbox that worked well. It just hung there till the owner needed it again.

I hang mine with a chain from a 4" pipe A-frame along with several other implements.

Well that would be a good excuse to buy a PHD! Gotta have one to drill the post holes for the uprights. Oh, wait.
On a serious note, some good ideas.
