Here is a photo of a guard i built for my mowing tractors. Got tired of replacing windows every other wk because of rocks and these guards cost about $100 per tractor so a big savings

well one of my new guys got to check my craftmanship this wk. he hit a patch of gravel and a decent size one hit the lower screen. it put a little dent in the expanded metal and chipped the paint. i should have done this to my kubotas last yr!

Neato. Your expanded metal guards will solve your window breakage problem. I use an expanded metal shield attached to the ROPS on my Mahindra 5525 to protect my backside when mowing.

my kubotas looked terrible last yr when we got done. every time a glass broke i just replaced it with lexan and some window sealant. when i got the deeres i was not going to let them look the same so we got some metal and started fabing.

can you post pictures of the side protectors? I just busted a side windo today and its 300 for a replacement. can you still see good? I that Alluminum expanded metal or steel?

I know JD makes a screen for the 7000 series tractors and see them when state mows the road sides. I would no be surprised they don't have them for the smaller tractors.
