Rear Finish Mower SICMA/Phoenix/Caroni - Rebuilding gearbox and Need Help.

Hi. New to TBN. Have a 60" pto driven finish mower made by SICMA in Italy. Last fall I ran over something sharp that punctured the lower /output seal on the gearbox enough to have a major leak. It was a freak occurrence -- disabled the tank with a perfectly aimed toothpick! I didn't notice it until it was too late. The bearings on the output shaft are shredded. I've ordered new parts but I'm running into problems getting the input shaft out and out of the way. If anyone has experience with that gearbox, please let me know and I'll post pictures etc. Thanks!
