Not an expert, but what might be the chances of simply cutting off a foot or so from the end? Might just work.
Seems to me that cutting and re positioning some end pieces could do the trick.
Thanks guys - as I'm not a welder or metal worker of any kind, I'll forgo "refining" the bar. I do have the PTO reverser, so things work just fine there. My neighbor is going to let me use his AC, but they laugh at my "baby" tractor. :confused3:
Not sure if it would matter for a sickle bar but it would for a rotary cutter. He has the reverser so his main issue is having a "little" tractor. One that seems to do work beyond its size.
