Man, is it ever gonna quit raining? My 10 acres are like a swamp. Thinking about selling the chickens and starting a gator farm.

I believe the weatherman said the other day that Kansas City International Airport has recorded over 12 inches of rain for the month of May. That is about half the rain fall we typically see all year and we got it in 1 month.

Careful what you wish for. I'd like some rain here right now.
It's not even summer yet.

Just some sprinkles here today too. Had a decent rain overnight. 1" is forecast for Monday.

If anyone was building around here, it would have been a good spring for that. In 2006 I sat in the camper for three weeks in May and watched it rain in the mudhole that was supposed to be our foundation getting poured. :D

You should have a Cajun accent. Seattle is not even in the top 10 cities with the most rainfall in the US. See the list below. Four of the top 10 are in Louisiana and most of them are on the Gulf Coast.

I live about 10 miles west of #5, Lafayette, LA. And we have had a wetter than average April and May. However, the weatherman just said that after our heavy rain today, we are in for a few days of dry weather.....I sure hope he is right...

The 10 rainiest cities in the U.S. by amount of annual rainfall include:

Mobile, Ala.: 67 inches average annual rainfall; 59 average annual rainy days
Pensacola, Fla.: 65 inches average annual rainfall; 56 average annual rainy days
New Orleans, La.: 64 inches average annual rainfall; 59 average annual rainy days
West Palm Beach, Fla.: 63 inches average annual rainfall; 58 average annual rainy days
Lafayette, La.: 62 inches average annual rainfall; 55 average annual rainy days
Baton Rouge, La.: 62 inches average annual rainfall; 56 average annual rainy days
Miami, Fla.: 62 inches average annual rainfall; 57 average annual rainy days
Port Arthur, Texas: 61 inches average annual rainfall; 51 average annual rainy days
Tallahassee, Fla.: 61 inches average annual rainfall; 56 average annual rainy days
Lake Charles, La.: 58 inches average annual rainfall; 50 average annual rainy days
