Chains shredder chains - do I really need them?

/ shredder chains - do I really need them? #11
Let me add my two cents to the mix by saying that even with chains, guards, and all the rest, you can still expect to expel objects at great speed, so a few simple rules should always apply:

1. Brush hogging (rotary cutting) is NOT a spectator sport. If people stand around and watch you, send them away or stop what you are doing.

2. Walk over the area you intend to cut. You may find nothing, but you may also may find and mark obstructions before you start cutting.

3. If cutting close to buildings or houses, do #2 enough times to ensure the area is clear or marked.

4. Always use your head and stay aware. Save your daydreaming for when you are sitting in a porch swing.

That's a quick four rules, and I'm sure others can add more.
