Mpking,

If I am to understand this correctly (and please forgive my ignorance since I am not familiar with the Hustler brand) your stripes are 'created' by a sweeper and not necessarily rollers on the mower deck? If so, wow...those are nice looking stripes.

Here is a few of our lawn when it was just starting to get dry. It looks much better now since we have had 4 inches of rain in the last 10 days. We have a Simplicity Broadmoor which has rollers along the entire back side of the deck.

Hey Lost,

I have to say your lawn looks great too!

The Hustler does a pretty good job on its own of leaving stripes - no striping kit or rollers installed. I was planning on getting the factory striping kit but it was like $400 extra - too much for me. I usually end up using the sweeper only when I've gone too long between mowing and end up with alot of clippings left on the lawn. The stripes look good without the sweeper but after I use it they look extra crisp since it presses the grass over even further than the deck alone.

This was done using a golf course fairway mower, with a 96" cut.
