Jon, I have Doug Lindstrand's Alaskan Sketchbook which includes excerpts from his journal. For those who have never heard of him, he's a fine artist and photographer, native of Minnesota who moved to Alaska in 1970 and spent a lot of time in wilderness areas photographing and sketching wildlife. And I recall him mentioning in his journal that he'd "found the secret to comfort; styrofoam toilet seats" for the outhouse. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This has to be one of the more remote outhouses in Canada. My Uncle Dave, who is an avid hunter drove 4 hours north of Grand Prarie to hunt moose, this was the facility. Talk about the last outpost /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I got out to the ranch between storms and discovered my tenant in the cabin had strung 100 ft of coax, laid it right on the ground, out to the only structure with a clear view to the south.

I'm sure the farmworkers who occasionally use this thing were disappointed when they didn't find a wide screen tv inside!
