Show Your Colors!

/ Show Your Colors! #2
Well this pic was of my winch project adding the grapple and not to show the colors, but this was Sunday here in Maine. Lots of leaves on the ground the past few days.

I guess I should have waited a few minutes. The trails turned colors!

MMfrompa, not to sidetrack your colors thread, but I really like your drone aerial pics, what can you tell us about getting into this. I'd love some overhead views of my land.

I have a DJI Phantom 2 Version 3, They now have a Phantom 3 with more range and a better camera. Once you learn a little bit about them they are easy to fly. They use GPS and know where they are a stay in place if you let go of the controls. In other words they maintain position even in the wind. Mine will fly about 30mph and has a 14mp camera that does 1080 video as well. The Phantom 3 does 4k video. Mine has a range a little over 2000' out and I never fly over 400' high. It can fly much higher but you can see all you need from there and the FAA frowns about that lol. I was never into this kind of stuff but its a blast. Christmas shopping will be easy this year, every landowner Im friends with gets 11 x 14 aerial pics of the property. Ive given some to a few neighbors and they were thrilled.
