Well, we have too many of those as well. But no, I mean comfort and safety. Most people in the US are wimps and could NEVER imagine doing some of the things that people do on a daily basis out of pure necessity throughout the developing world. Our society coddles us and makes us weak. But I digress, back to talk of 2 wheeled tractor mods.

Yes, I admit my picture was a bit of an extreme case. That pic was from Bangladesh, which is very much Flatlandistan. This is more of what I saw in Nepal. I just thought it was a very resourceful use of the 2 wheeled tractor. Mind you this was the first time I had ever seen a 2 wheeled tractor. Just thought it was really neat.

I have a 38 inch mower, I dont like the side discharge, or the bag. So I blocked off the chutes with Masonite and tape, the mower is a decent mulching mower.

So after using the 38 inch mower with the chutes taped shut for two cuttings, I can say it doesn't work. It leaves a strip of grass behind that happens to settle right where the front caster went.
