OK, in honor of my wife's semi green thumb....and giving equal billing... I am attaching a few flower shots. I generally like to grow it , if I can eat it... but have on occasion been known to stop and admire the beauty. I like to get up close.
I think this one is a tithonia? Excuse my lack of knowledge...hope I get these right.

Pete,

I think that one may be rudbeckia, or gloriosa daisy. Here's a pic of our corner flower garden.

Tom, you are good....that is exactly the name of that one. Thanks for showing your flower bed. Looks like you have some herbs in there too? Our plantings are just now starting to show some flowers, some of which we have never grown before. For some reason, we are heavy into sunflowers this yr. Got a ton of different ones....should be an interesting display, and I am sure the birds will like them. Everyday it is a new discovery. Take time to stop and look.

Hey Pete, Here is a sampler from the tip of the ICEBERG!
My wife loves flowers and she plants all kinds everywhere, The problem comes when she "doesn't have enough time to water them" when needed . /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Since I'm outside most of the time guess who takes the JOB... Very time consuming /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

OH BTW don't ask for the names of these flowers because I only know the blackeyed susan in the first pic. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I just water 'EM

Flowers have always fascinated me. Most of those shown here so far are new to me. Here are some wildflowers from Arizona. The first is a Strawberry Hedgehog.

Here is another. I don't know the name. It is supposedly related to lilies, I think. It reportedly has an edible bulb several inches down in the ground.
