Case DX33 Farmall
I am looking at a newer Case DX33 which is the same as the New Holland TC33d and I have been reading about all the horror stories about the loader causing the tractor to basically split in two. I have heard that loose bolts cause the issue to just poor design. The tractor is a newer 2006 model that has 1000hrs on it and looks like bran new. The tractor would pass as new if you didn't look at the hour meter, the last owner used it on a small farm and it always was stored inside.

Should I worry about the tractor cracking in half at the loader attachment points?

I have a TC29 DA which is the same as your TC 33.
Mine has the 7308 loader with the oversize bucket and a Woods backhoe. I've done lots of hard digging and (knock on wood) have had no problems.

My '03 has over 1000 hours and no issues. I do check the bolts where the bell housing connects to the engine when I grease but never found one loose.
If the tractor likes like new then I would say it probably wasn't abused and could be a very good tractor for you.

The curved boom loaders have not had the issues of the original design.

Thanks for the info everyone! The tractor is for sale by the dealer that sold it to the original owner and he said he takes immaculate care of his toys. It really could pass as a 15 hr tractor but has 1000hrs on it.

He is asking $16k for it but when you consider a new kubota of similar size is over $25,000 it seems like a decent deal.
He is going to fill the tires with beat for no extra, I might put $10,000 down and use kubota credit for the rest...

Well, I know who the dealer is and if Keith says the tractor is what it is, believe him. I buy all my ag tractors there. Been dealing there for years.

That's funny that you know the dealer from the picture! Small world. Are you in Carleton? I am only about 10 minutes away from Keith!

The red pole building/office is a dead givaway, besides, there aren't that many dealers around Carelton. No, I don't live in Carelton or even close. I live near Adrian close to a large Kubota/Case dealer, but I prefer to deal with an honest dealer. Thats Keith. Spent a gob of moneey there over the years......last 30 or so.

Thanks for the good words on the dealer, I have lived here for years and drive/stop by all the time but have never bought anything from them.
Also good to hear that the loader issue isn't and issue with the new style loader.

For what it's worth, I just bought a used TC40 DA and New Holland credit beat KCC by 1.37% with the same down payment and loan length. Insurance with New Holland was about $200 less for the 3 year loan term as well.
