Shopping pto shafts. How much overkill do I need?

Looking at pto shafts for my landpride 64 inch snowblower. I have a Mahindra 2538 with 32 pto hp. Looks like I can find many shafts with a tier rating of 4 that can handle 38 or so hp. I have also seen the tier 5 which is very heavy and more money. Now this is not a continuous operating type of equipment. When handling the tier 5 I cannot think that I would ever need anything like that. I did look at a new King Kutter 72 inch tiller and it only had a tier 4 on it. I thought that may be light for that piece. Would you purchase a 5 or a 4?

You need something to brake incase of ....... And that better not be your Tractor !

They appear to be almost the same price but quite a difference in weight. I think it was a 20 dollar diff. Not sure I could ever break a 4 or wear it out but when the much heavier one is sitting there at the same money makes me wonder. Certainly don't want to break my tractor.

Is the shaft supposed to incorporate a shear bolt? many snowblower shafts do. If so, I'd find a shaft with the correct size shearbolt.

Was just looking at that. This is suppose to have a shear bolt. I have to research the size. The blower does have one other bolt in the drive line but two would never hurt.
