On our property is a pole barn with a shop built into one side of it. It was insulated probly about 18 years ago when it was built. I've figured out most of what the previous owner did in here (he was no electrician even though he tried hard, THAT's for sure!) but one thing is driving me crazy - what was this black plastic tubing used for? It runs from the ceilng, where there is a 2ft 2x10 with lag bolts in it that was holding some load, to the side wall where it was cut. There's about a 4" section cut out which I am assuming was for some pump or similar. Then it continues down the wall where it goes outside about 1' height. It is buried (very shallow) and makes a run of about 40' to our pond. At the edge of the pond is a buried green plastic tub with a removable lid that is at ground level. The pipe goes in here, into some valve, then as far as I can tell goes into the pond. About 10' out into the pond is some plastic tub that is turned over that has never moved in the year we've been here, so it's on top of something in the water that I can only assume is attached to that tubing!
Any ideas? Here's a picture that shows what is going on in the garage. There is also a drain on the floor directly below where whatever was mounted in the ceiling used to be. Thanks for helping me figure this out
