Kioti DK 40 HST
Recently purchased A Kioti DK 40 HST. I would like a shop manual. Most of the posts I have seen for shop manuals show them priced at about $100 and up regardless of make. There are a couple of vendors on EBay that sell the shop manual for $10 in CD format. Anybody know if these are complete or more of a troubleshooting guide? Also if these are illegal copies I'm not buying one. Seller claims it is identical to print version.

I don't know anything about Kioti manuals, but in 1999, I paid $88 for the Workshop Manual and $48 for the Illustrated Parts List for my Kubota B2710. They go together and really need both for the Kubota.

You also need both for the DK40. I talked with my dealer and he sold both to me for $100 when I bought a set of pallet forks from him.

Couple of things, You probably have a DK40se.. not a DK40. That manual is OLD. It is not the exact manual for the North american Kioti. You could download a Daedong manual for an Australian version on a website at one time.. I dont know if it is still there or not. It was an FTP site. It is really close, and it has lots of color photo's, unlike the old manual with just line drawings.

The CD manuals you buy on eBay, whether for a Kioti DK, Subarau Impreza, or Kitchenaide mixer, are almost always pirate copies. They get a digital manual and burn copies to sell for $5 or $10. A legitimate manual on disk, from the actual company that wrote it will cost more than that, if they make it available on eBay at all.

To the best of my knowledge the company does not make them available on CD at all. Only Paper copy's.

That's what I was told when I requested electronic manuals. Dealer called and was told paper only.

I bought two Manuals online. Both where fully digital manuals. They were not scanned copies. There is not a copy write mark on any page. I bought the Euro/Canadian/Australian CK22S manual which is 99% the same as the CK20S. Same HP, body, transmission, weight etc. The ROPS and lights are different; however, it references the US models where different. It will be at least a good reference.

Well Kioti( Daedong )certainly made the CD I have. It was available through the local importer to the dealers.
Access to on line manuals on the Australian site was blocked a while ago. Now I wonder who might have had an interest in that being done.

Yes, but your copyright laws may be different down there vs. up here in North America. I do realize the content of the Australian manual was original Daedong. But up here I have never seen a digital manual.. Not saying there might not be one, for use by dealers, but they sure don't let it out to the public for obvious reasons. If one person had a digital manual, how long would it be before it was on e-bay for 10 bucks. How that FTP site lasted as long as it did down there is a mystery t us up here, unless like I said your copyright laws are different.
