Shooting Bench

Here is my shooting bench project. I modified some simple plans I found on the internet. I made it 48" wide vs 36" and I made it three legged vs 5 legs.

Do you have a router?.. I would take my router and a roundover bit, and hit all of the edges with it. It would just take a few minutes, and it would make all of the surfaces your body would contact just that much more comfortable. Great build.

I do plan on rounding the edges, I figured I'd use it a few times first. The three legs does stop the wobble, but when you sit on it or move your body position, it's not quite as stable as having the extra seat supports. I will need to move the bench as crops change, because that dictates my shooting angles.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to catch brass. None of my prebuild ideas will work because the brass ejects at an angle back than I anticipated. So, I will need to do some trial and error with a cardboard box.

I have always just stretched out a tarp, and weighted it down with rocks on 4 corners.. It is awfully hard to tune ejectors to always flip them in a reasonable sized box.
