I may have been panic-ing too soon. I had it made for the Kioti loader pins. Probably could be lightened up a bit too.
Before you "lighten" it up, I would think twice. Here is my argument: if you cut away any of the tines to lighten the
grapple you will effectively destroy it's resale value. No one will pay a good price for a hacked
grapple. You are stuck with the Kioti pin mount and as that fits only the KL120 and KL130 no one (in their right mind) would want to buy such a heavy
grapple from you. However, it would cost very little to cut off the Kioti pin mount and weld on a universal skid steer mount. If you did that I'd guess you could get something in the range of $1200-1400 for this
grapple as it would essentially be a brand new heavy duty skidsteer tool. Lots of skidsteer guys would like to have one. It would also be appropriate for someone with a loader with lift capacity of >1500lbs. If you sell it for that amount, you could just turn around and order an appropriately sized
grapple from either Millonzi (less than $1000 shipped I believe for the 48"LD that I have) or the RGB2 48 or 60" model from WRLong via a dealer (probably cost you $1500 or so). Benefit is that you would end up with an excellent
grapple of appropriate weight for your loader that still has very good resale if you ever decide to sell it. Also you are not spending a lot of time butchering a perfectly good heavy duty
grapple that still might be too heavy even if you cut out half the tines (there are only 8 in your picture so you'll be lucky to get the total weight down to 500lbs). If you can weld you can attach a universal skidsteer mount to the heavy duty
grapple for about $50-75 bucks. If you cannot weld it will cost an extra hundred. No biggie. Frankly, if you go the Millonzi route you might even save some money given the difference in the cost and what you are likely to get for your perfectly new heavy duty
grapple on the "used" market with eBay or Craig's List.
