Not sure it's spelled right. I keep seeing posts of people wanting saws and decided to post this here. Worked in the woods when I was younger with mostly Stihl saws and owned 3. A saw I think people over look is Shindawa. My younger brother got killed in an accident about 10 years ago and the rest of that winter I cut his widow's, mine, and my mom and dad's wood. My stihl's were old and gave out so I started using my brother's shindawa. Still using it till this day. I had no idea these saws were that tough and powerful. My brother wasn't as experienced at sharpening a saw as I was. When I got it sharp I was sure surprised! Aaron

I bought a Shindawa 488 about 6 years ago and it has been a good saw. They also make good brush cutters. I use my 488 to cut firewood and clear brush.

Shindawas are good saws to say the least . They just don't have that much of a dealership network (at least not where I am ) . Kind of a shame really ,as they are a decent saw .
