Shibaura sd1800

Wondering where a man might find a water pump for a shibaura sd1800. I dont know the year model. I live in North Ga. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you can solve your problem by removing the water-pump on your tractor and take it to your nearest Ford Tractor Dealer, and they can cross reference it. You maybe able to get a rebuilt kit for the existing one, if you are a "wrencher;" a new one will require taking your checkbook with you! Ford was using Shibaura engines then, and I assume they still are?

I rebuilt one on my '82 Ford 1500, because a new one was $300.00, and that was a decade ago!! It isn't that difficult to rebuild, but check with them for the details on required tools that maybe necessary?

The first water-pump on the Ford 1500 Shibarau engine (20 hp) lasted twenty years, and the rest of the components of the engine have never been a problem; however, if you run it out of fuel, it will be a (PITA) too! I do change the anti-freeze on the tractor more often than the others, that have had equal use, and with a higher concentration of anti-freeze for lubrication. The first water-pump lasted a couple thousand hours.
