I have just bought a Shibaura S1700-0.
It is a nice 2 cylinder tractor that is in need of some parts.
Most importantly a new radiator. the one it has is shot. Any information or input is appreciated. I would also like any info on the tractor in general (hp???) The engine has a number LE752A.

Your best bet for the radiator is to take it to a radiator shop and have it re-cored. Any good radiator shop should be able to do this for you. If I'm not mistaken, the S1700-0 is around 21-22 hp.

Thanks for the input, the radiator shop I did take it to told me they could not fix this particular radiator. It has about ten different leaks.
I appreciate the input!

Why couldn't you retrofit another manufactures radiator in it's place? The radiator shop should be able to fashion new mounting brackets and tweak the inlets and outlets.

As long as the top and bottom tanks are OK, you should be able to have the entire core replaced. The core is the part with the fins, and is probably where all the holes are. The shop you took it to must not be capable of replacing the core, and couldn't patch the existing one sufficiently. Call around and ask the shops if they can replace the core in a radiator. I'm sure yours can be fixed.
