Hi Guys, newbie to this forum and newbie compact tractor owner, bought her at auction last weekend, a Shibaura (Ford New Holland?) P185F 4wd Diesel, I have an acre of ground and stay about 1 mile along a single track so will be put to good use all year round, got her home last Monday off the trailer no problem, my neighbour gave me a hand and I let him try the tractor, he put it into reverse gear thinking it was 1st, he lifted the clutch fast and it lurched backwards, been stuck in reverse ever since, fortunately I managed to reverse her into the shed and today was the first chance I had to check her out.
The gear lever moves but not as much as previously, I followed the linkage down into the casing and stopped their as I dont know what to safely do next, I tried starting her up and lifting the clutch whilst trying to rock her out of gear if you know what I mean but to no avail.
Any suggestions on fixing would be greatly appreciated from Bonnie Scotland.........
