Does anyone know why my PTO shaft doesn't turn when I turn the switch on?The switch is located on the dash and if you keep playing with it by turning it on and off the shaft will start turning. If you turn the switch off for a day then turn it back on the shaft doesn't turn.I'm guessing that the switch is the problem but not sure how to check it to make sure.

It could be the switch or the solenoid. You can check the switch by either using a voltmeter or a simple automotive light bulb. Touch one lead to neg and the other to one side of the switch with the switch off, If voltage is present move the lead to the other side of the switch, if no voltage then flip the switch several times and if it shows voltage the switch is good.

If that's the case I would check the solenoid, it may just need a bit of lube on the plunger.
