I for one, enjoy reading posts like yours. It helps me understand what other peoples lives are like. And I follow along when people post some of the challenges they face, not that I can do anything about it, but once in a while I've been able to offer encouragement. We have some friends & neighbors that have had open heart surgery and/or cancer that we've been able to help. We've been thru some of this ourselves so we know what just a little bit of help or encouragement can do.I have a bad habit of posting long winded posts but it's still fun to relate what I did in my past before retirement life and all the great people I met and had relationships with. Go to meet al lot of diverse people, some good and some not so good but that is what life is all about.

Reminded me of my introduction to Carpenter humor.
During HS I worked summers for a contractor. Went to pee behind a tree, got a loud

Lots of part time work for that contractor over several years, plus endless repairs at this old farmhouse (that I finally inherited), provided the needed experience to get hired as a Journeyman Carpenter and then eventually join the union. That was invaluable when I moved on to buying/renovating rental property. How did you know I was a carpenter ? lol
My signature used to read 'Raised by wolves on a construction site'
I guess someone was bound to do the maththat's 1⅓ seconds per post on the average - I've heard of speed reading but that's ridiculous! your finger must be seized up from scrolling
Yeah, I quit that thread shortly after checking it out.At least this isn't the EV thread with nearly as many posts but only two opinions - that are repeated endlessly.![]()
I skipped it after the first paragraph.Hell, it took me 40 minutes to read just 5030’s long winded post!
So far. so good. Got the pump off yesterday, keeps me living and that is very important to me. Being greedy, I want some more time, human nature I guess. I do thank the Lord for that as well as the medical team I have and of course my excellent hospitalization. I'd be living in a cardboard box if I didn't have it (Thank you AMY for that). Please let us know how your holiday went!![]()
