A Seattle City Council committee voted unanimously Wednesday to approve a steep increase in the hourly rate paid for metered parking during large scale events. TheTransportation and Utilities Committee passed the legislation via a 5-0 vote, meaning the full council will now consider the proposal.

My wife got pulled over in Seattle, and for the first time ever, had an officer with weapon out, on her right rear fender, as another officer was at her window, with hand on weapon. Apparently she got stuck in the 10' foot wide crosswalk trying to turn right, when the light changed. No ticket, but a warning. I hate going into the city, but i wished more people would move into them and not take up room out in the country side.

Besides, it's a pita to haul things in those narrow congested roads.

People in Granby, Québec took photos of this woman driving her car with lumber sticking out the windows and posted the photos on social media. The police watch social media too so checked the license plate and paid the woman a visit at her home. It turns out the lumber had been stolen from a local lumber yard.View attachment 707159

It’s probably moving day. From what I have seen eviction cases leave almost everything behind. Can be a heck of mess to clean up and becomes a hauling issue getting the stuff loaded and to the dump in a safe manner.

With the eviction moratorium ending we will see a lot more of this. They still owe the back rent. The ones who were still working spent the money elsewhere. This is going to be a disaster.
