I can 1-up that. I've had 4100 lbs (green oak firewood) in the bed of my '05 F250 and it was not squatted like that (or even much at all). Once i realized how overloaded i was i started backing off how much I loaded in... He must have like 8k back there.

How big of a bed?

I let someone use my 91 1/2 ton silverado and he had Home Depot load a pallet of ready mix... i think 3500 lbs...

I've done worse than that. Probably the worst was hauling a 7 ton boom lift on a poor F-450 rollback. I've hauled a lot of gravel on a 1 ton truck 3 tons at a time. It handles that load pretty good and doesn't look near as bad as the truck in discussion.

I sold my 08 Titan to a cop. I ran into him before Christmas and ask him how he was getting along with it.

He went on to tell me how his wife wanted River Rock for a landscaping project. He looked in the manual and its payload was about 1800#. In his head he thought ok, about 2 tons. Yes, he screwed up the math with a brain fart. Anyway a buddy was helping him shovel it off and said man, this is a bunch of rock!

It was then he realized that he had it loaded with 4,000# of rock and not 2,000 as he had planned.

He said the truck was not squatted that bad, the tires looked fine, and it drove, handled, stopped, and steered just fine.

I asked him if he wrote himself a ticket.....

How true!
I had just had my 4 x 4 F-250 repainted, and even added a new tailgate.
A friend asked if he could borrow it, and I foolishly said ....yes!
Got it back with large dents in the top edges of the box (he chucked firewood in), and there was a big bend in the new tailgate.
Found a six pack of beer on the front seat, and it had only 1/4 tank of gas.

yep and my wife still don't understand why I refuse to loan my stuff.
